C.N. Mishra, Scientist (Plant Breeding) ICAR – Indian Institute of Wheat & Barley Research, is having research experience of more than 11 years in wheat improvement. Dr. Mishra completed his master’s and Ph.D. degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Ag and Technology. He joined ICAR – IIWBR (erstwhile DWR) as an ARS Scientist in the field of Plant Breeding during 2010. During last one decade, Dr. Mishra has contributed extensively in wheat improvement programme and has been involved in the development of eleven (9) wheat varieties and 13 genetic stocks for different traits of economic importance. He has published his research in across many peer reviewed national and international journals. He is involved in seed production and dissemination varieties to the farmers and seed growers. He has recently been awarded with the prestigious ‘Gene Stewardship Award – 2018’ by Borlaug Global Rust Initiative (BGRI).
